About
Matt Sturzenegger, MSN, APRN, CPNP‑PC
Founder & Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Education & Training
I'm a Utah kid at heart. I grew up here and earned my biology degree at the University of Utah in 2015. I then completed my nurse practitioner training at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. I'm board-certified by the PNCB as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care and licensed to practice in Utah.
Experience
Before becoming an NP, I spent two years as an operating room nurse at Primary Children's Hospital, mostly in cardiothoracic surgery. Those years showed me how much a calm, clear explanation means to a worried parent. Since then, I've worked in a pediatric emergency department and in busy outpatient pediatric primary care.
Why Telehealth
Kids rarely get sick on a convenient schedule. Too often, a fever or ear pain starts after the office closes, and parents are left choosing between waiting until morning and spending hours in urgent care.
Parents have told me what they want: real communication with someone who listens, and enough time to get their questions answered. That's how I run every visit. I offer evening video visits for:
- Acute sick visits
- Follow-ups and medication management
- Ongoing ADHD medication management
For ADHD, I manage medication for children who already have a diagnosis. I don't diagnose ADHD. A new evaluation should be done by your child's regular provider.
Each visit is one flat price, with no insurance and no surprise bills.
Outside of Work
Honestly, I'm a big kid myself. I love getting a nervous toddler to laugh or talking video games with a teenager. Away from work, I'm usually hiking, exploring a national park, playing basketball or ultimate frisbee, tinkering with my 3D printer, or spending time with my nieces and nephew.
What Parents Say
